Ummm . . . yeah
So, ummm, yeah, it’s been awhile. I finished my reflections on the Rule of St. Benedict in February, and a few months have passed since then. I do have some excuses, though. In the months since then I accepted a new job, said goodbye to my home of ten years, moved, and got married. At the beginning of June I started work with Hazelwood Christian Church in Muncie, and the summer was spent finding my way here in the new place. My new wife and I had a beautiful wedding ceremony in July in California, and we’ve been settling into our new home together.
But I haven’t forgotten my writing here, and, you, my loyal readers, who followed along. I want to pick up again with more reflections on a spiritual classic. I want to share from Brother Lawrence’s The Practice of the Presence of God. Just as I did with the Rule of St. Benedict I hope to find some wisdom to share from a spiritual writing from the past, and, hopefully, open up that wisdom from the past to the modern reader. So, sorry about the wait, and I look forward to more to come here.
